There are important points to reduce the deformation during EDM wire cutting as follows:

1. Pre-deal with the work piece in advance, such as natural aging,   in order to reduce the inner stress as small as possible.

2. Cut the job roughly firstly to remove the allowance.

3. Hold the starting (ending) point strictly with a chuck in order to make the ending point stay the same place during cutting.

4. If the heat treatment is needed on the job, try to remove the unnecessary parts before the heat treatment, in order to release the inner stress during the temperature changing.
